On May 19th (Thur) the California F&G Commission will hold a dual purpose meeting in Redding CA. (1) they'll have a standard FGC meeting and (2) they will host a Wildlife Resource Committee meeting. The focus of the WRC meeting will be new/proposed deer/elk/bear/sheep/antelope regulations introduced by Petition 2021-017 (by Dan Ryan). The goal of this meeting will be to identify premium tag/hunt opportunities which can be improved or introduced this year for implementation in 2023. 

Hunter engagement and advocacy is increasingly having a positive effect, and the May meeting will lead to changes which our community needs to provide leadership and input on.  

In this Commission Prep Call we will discuss the meeting agenda, potential threats or opportunities we need to address, and offer data and talking points to lead with during the session(s).
