Legislation sponsored by the California Houndsmen for Conservation and introduced with support from Bill Gaines (Gaines & Associates), will need informed and strategic support from rural communities, hunters, and dedicated conservation advocates. This townhall is being set up to share details and answer the Frequently Asked Questions, related to legislation that will set a path forward for "pursuit" seasons for bear and mountain lions and sets a path forward to create a bear hunting season with the use of hounds... in CALIFORNIA! 

The legislative path from "introduced" to "signed by the Governor" is long and will require well-executed communication. Effective messaging will need to be sent to key decision-makers at critical inflection points during the legislative process. HOWL, Bill Gaines, and experts close to these issues will rally support, share strategy, share important science-based management talking points, and discuss the best response to expected propaganda that will surely be put out by the anti-hunting industry.
