Tell the WA Fish & Wildlife Commission to wait for the science

Washington anti-hunting groups are desperate to get their petitioned changes to bear and cougar seasons across the line to strip you of the opportunity to manage predators. At the last commission meeting, an initial decision on these propositions was paused to allow for the upcoming WDFW carnivore science to be completed. That's a really good thing. However, anti-hunting, anti-wildlife, and anti-human groups want limitations on your cougars and bear seasons voted upon now so that they may be implemented in the 2024 season. Less than pleased with the last meeting's decision, they are pressuring commissioners to make a decision at next week’s meeting before the science is complete and has had the chance to be fully reviewed and understood. These proposals include major limitations to opportunity in both season length and bag limits, restrict the ability to scientifically manage wildlife populations, and put bear and cougar seasons at risk of being lost all together.

Hold the commission accountable to their oath to science-based conservation by demanding they do not bend to the demands of those attempting to ban predator hunting all together and wait on making a decision until data on Washington predator populations and densities can be assessed.
